About Us

The Kent Boat and Ski Club is situated at Cuxton on the river Medway, just a couple of miles up river from historic Rochester.

It has been in existence for many years at varying locations but moved to its current site in the 1990’s.

The club offers many sought after assets for the enthusiast, not least being a hot shower after a days skiing.
We have the use of a large tract of the Medway, our skiing water stretches over two miles, and we have our own slipway, pontoon and slalom course. We also have a dedicated launch vehicle if you do not have your own 4×4.
Only KBSC members are permitted to ski on the river otherwise it is a 6 knot limit.

There is a boat wash area and trailer park to make life easier and, when spaces are available, a secure compound to store your boat for a reasonable fee. We have a large clubhouse with a licenced bar, common room, also showers and changing facilities. There are cooking facilities and for those many summer days that we are blessed with, a barbeque area.
For those of you who run LPG boats, we have on-site gas.

The club is a non profit organisation that is run by the members for the members.. All maintenance is done by the members at work parties to keep the costs to a minimum and the fees low. There are at least four per year and it is compulsory to attend one.

You can learn to ski or barefoot, wakeboard, kneeboard or slalom ski.. If you just want to come and relax, thats fine. We have a large picnic area overlooking the river and surrounding countryside.

If this all sounds to good to be true, come along on a weekend to check us out, but be aware that the season for skiing is between Easter and the end of September. Club night is every Friday night in season and the first Friday of each month out of season.
